Hello everyone!!! We’re starting off the summer strong as we hit the ground running with preproduction! Meetings are going well, even after we moved online, and we’ve been bonding through our Rat Economy Minecraft Server! We are running the first set of meetings and deliverables for each subteam. Everyone is hard at work, even with members like Rosa, Teri, and Jolynn cheerfully showing up to meetings on vacation! Check out what we have been working on for the past few weeks:

Art

1st art check-in with all the concept artists, and updated them on some specific design notes about how weapons should be interpreted within the designs

Also began an Art Bible together! Art Bible will continuously grow and develop overtime :) Currently brainstorming keywords.

Will begin creating a spreadsheet for dividing tasks and adding deadlines soon.

Design

Albert has been working with people from every department to try to get a strong foundation with our game. CJ and Ethan have been getting pen to paper, getting some real good system design stuff down! Design has been working closely with art to try to get concepts matching up with design’s ideas. A meeting was also held regarding the game’s story, using Luke’s writing project as our starting foundation! We have gotten his blessing <33

Roosevelt and William have been hard at work laying down the basic systems for the first prototype! We started off in a Figma board, creating visualizations for the various systems we have to implement, and then moved onto pushing code into our GitHub repo.
